Logistics- Thursday 25th August we departed from Bath by the 10 am 403 coach arriving London Victoria 1.20 pm.  There are various combinations of stops, some taking longer than others. Our stops were Box, Chippenham and Heathrow. A weekend in London – conglomerate account and many images

We visited London between Thursday 17th June and Monday 21st June. The bus from Bath left 11.10 am and traveled the long route to Swindon (long diversion) and then Heathrow. Travel time the best part of four hours. The last time we went the cost for the two of us was £25. This time it was £59.60. The train is about double that (£100 plus) so we think of what we would spend the saved money on....

There are always mixed feelings on such occasions. We are going to go along to stand up for what we believe; on the other hand the police have become more brutal and we may well get attacked. Art Gallery day – London at its best

To the Mall Gallery, situated amazingly enough in The Mall,  in central London where they have frequent exhibitions including many by portraitists.  There were three exhibitions on when we came.  One was by The Wapping Group of Artists. A visit to the wilds of North London

It's very nice to get up when you feel like it.  The only restriction we have here at the hotel was that the breakfast closes at 10 AM so if you've any sense you go down to the breakfast room by 9:30 AM unless you want to feed on scraps and 'been kept hot for too long' food. Up early, the usual check around to see that everything is locked and that the gas is turned off.
