Today is my appointment at the RUH in the ENT department to see if my sore throat is just soreness itself or whether it is a sign of some sort of growth. Off to buy some goldfish in Dobbes which is a large gardens superstore near Shepton Mallet. They stopped selling fish years ago so we went to an adjacent place and bought four goldfish for £20. This may sound a lot for four very small examples but they have had to be kept fed and looked after through their growth. So I recon that's a pretty good deal. I have not written about this much but I am taking an increasing interest in the town of Frome, population 28,500 as of 2021 as it is more analogous to my social and cultural needs than Midsomer Norton where I currently live. By the way, the name 'Frome' comes from the Old British word ffraw meaning fair, fine or brisk and describing the flow of the river. My view is that Frome is not far away...
