A riddle plus a heart attack testimony

Reading Time: 4 minutes

I wrote to my friend before going off on holiday to Cardiff as follows:
I shall carry the following text in the middle of my head “Love and peace is the centre of everything’
To which he responded, text below,

Frivolous image not quite relevant to the topic

It is clear then that you carried nothing! If everything came from nothing at the beginning of the universe then the centre of everything will also be nothing. If love and peace are the centre of everything then they, too, are nothing. Since god is outside of everything then he, too, is nothing. Thus, if you have love and peace you are god in everything.

Just out of curiosity I asked Gemini AI what it thought of the answer without telling it the presenting statement

Copilot, 19:32
This passage seems to be exploring some deep philosophical ideas about existence, the universe, and the nature of love, peace, and divinity. Here’s a breakdown of the key points:
1.
Origin of the Universe: It suggests that if the universe began from nothing, then the core or center of everything is also nothing.
2.
Nature of Love and Peace: If love and peace are central to everything, and the center is nothing, then love and peace are also nothing.
3.
Concept of God: Since God is outside of everything, God is also nothing.
4.
Unity with Divinity: If you possess love and peace, you embody God within everything.

The passage seems to be playing with the idea of “nothingness” and how it relates to fundamental concepts like love, peace, and divinity. It’s a thought-provoking way to consider the interconnectedness of these ideas and how they might be perceived as both everything and nothing at the same time.

So dear reader did AI ‘get it’?

Heart Attack I heard of someone who had a heart attack last week. Before I go on. What does having a heart attack mean? We are used to using the word in the sense of someone attacking someone else in other words violating their privacy or causing them physical harm. I find a term attack a little bit confusing for those reason.  The  medical definition is “A heart attack, also called a myocardial infarction, happens when a part of the heart muscle doesn’t get enough blood. The more time that passes without treatment to restore blood flow, the greater the damage to the heart muscle”.

Anyway, he did not feel well and started to get pain in the chest. Because he was aware of his own body he checked to see if it was not another factor and then when he realized it was indeed an attack the wife drove him to the nearest hospital who in their turn blue lighted him to the nearest specialist hospital.

He was seen immediately on entry and stents were placed suitably to deal with the condition. The day after the operation an orderly advised him that there had been no damage to the heart due to his prompt action. This was certainly a lesson for me not to ignore symptoms on the grounds that I don’t want to bother people or that it will probably go away.

Whilst waiting to see my doctor I observed the many leaflets and flyers that were in the waiting room.

Although it is true that this poster contains the essential details I just find it too busy to take in. I cannot see it from the point of view of a homeless or desperate person. I would score the text as eight out of 10, the typeface 3 out of 10 and the illustration also three out of 10.

I have no idea what the tin-like objects are on the right-hand side. Are they jars of marmalade, are there for someone’s false teeth, why are they welded together? It really is most unattractive. It looks like someone as had to go without the necessary training thinking that they can save a few pounds but if the utterances are only 30% as effective as it could be, what is the point in saving the money.
