The loneliness of the long distance runner

I have recently separated myself from a group of people that I have been with for the last two three years or so and this is my discussion with my friend, or the essence of my discussion, to see how I move forward

This cartoon is with reference to the general stupidity of human nature, not of the group of people that I have dissociated from.

Brian: I realized I’ve been seeking the living among the dead in the group I have just left and this group that someone just described as blind sheep. Being a sheep is bad enough but blind sheep is worse, and worse still when an organiser has a hidden agenda.
Friend : you can’t have hierarchical systems that don’t get corrupted.

Brian : It’s almost by definition it almost goes with a territory doesn’t it
Friend : consciousness is not a hierarchy. There are not ‘better consciousnesses’ or ‘less better’.  They are all exactly the same and exactly as infinite as each other. It’s only the human brain that distinguishes and restricts one’s thoughts. Its only the mind that does that. So your mind is a combination of what your information base is, compared with what your thought base is. So if you just had the thought base you would have infinite knowledge and an infinite understanding.

The problem is that when you restrict, you generate hierarchy. Most of these people out there want leaders and that’s a fallacy in its own right because to have a leader from that perspective means that you are abrogating your responsibility to somebody else

Brian : and Christian people do this in particular. They want God to save us
Friend – and they fear Hiim and all these stupid things so to belong to evangelical group is a bit … its pointless.

Brian : well I tended my resignation yesterday. What completely did it for me was that I circulated an idea in for a moving forward of the venture in the form of a network and it was completely ignored indeed I was chastised for it. I thought this is not right and that that situation incentivized me to leave and thank goodness I left. What a relief.
Friend – Its these hierarchies. People are only in it for control and power or on the other hand don’t want to be responsible for something. So that’s why replacing your thinking with AI and all of this sort of stuff is attractive to a lot of people because it takes away their responsibility for it. They are going to have a system that purports to look after them. It’s not going to do that but that’s what is being preached and they’re taking it up because they need leaders. To be an independent human beings is a difficult thing to do

Brian – it can be lonely
Friend – always lonely even just being independent is a challenge. If you start to realise more then you become more and more separate from them.
Joining established groups where the knowledge base is minimal and you know they are believing in something that they clearly can’t understand, – the Bible and stuff. you need to read the meaning between the lines really. It’s far far deeper than they can appreciate because they haven’t got the bandwidth and the knowledge to see it.

Brian – you have to start (reading the Bible) by reading between the lines.
Friend – otherwise it will not make sense.. This is what I do. That is my psyche. That’s what I’ve done in life. All my training has been within the frame of reducing something to its core.

Brian – a bit like Occam’s Razor
Friend – In a way.  The problem is that scientists use Occam’s razor but again with a limited bandwidth of information. They’ve changed the definition of science to fit their bandwidth which is a totally stupid thing to do.

Brian – I’m glad to hear someone else feels lonely from time to time
Friend – We all do.  Without each other we wouldn’t be here.  Each other is all we’ve got really. We are going to find too much elsewhere

Brian –  don’t see the living living among the dead.
Friend – The thing is don’t sort of look for it for your own solace, it’ll happen spontaneously and you’re going to meet people. If you just don’t worry about it, you get surprising results from other people sometimes when you really wouldn’t expect it but word of warning …..don’t require them to do or be anything either.
