So we decided to basically do nothing and just be with my sister Philippa for most of the day. On Sunday morning she gets picked up and taken to church so meanwhile we decided to go to Croydon to do shopping at Primark. On the way to Primark there was a street market which was getting into gear and we bought two Portuguese specialty pastries for two pounds each which are small but delicious. Every sort of street food was available or becoming available so London is definitely a seven days city catering for all nationalities and all types of people
This was one of the rare occasions when I felt like buying stuff. I bought various short sleeved shirts and a short and a long pair of trainers all for the princely sum of £34.50 I then fancied a coffee at the local Wetherspoons and we set outside just watching the world go by. The Croydon tram link service is not working due to long needed renovations so we had to take the 466 bus to the Addington interchange and from then a local bus to our final destination.
Between us we cooked a very nice lunch consisting of a salad, roast potatoes and veggies, and a fruit salad. We sat around doing nothing. Francoise offered to repair a large toy pig called Daisy Florence. I am very good at doing nothing especially when I need to rest,
