Reading Time: 3 minutes

For this journey I’m going to focus on the images that I took on the grounds that one picture is worth a thousand words but I will also do a summary of the day.

A good day for chem trails. We love aluminum, barium, strontium – great for the lungs

As if the normal busy sunny day traffic was not enough we had to suffer from a Palestinian protest outside the Houses of Parliament. Françoise decided to take the number 24 bus to the Mall Gallery to save her legs but I decided to walk. Which took about 20 minutes and when I arrived at the gallery Françoise was nowhere to be seen. I received a text saying she was stuck on Waterloo Bridge and because there was a diversion the bus driver would not open the doors. He did however relent eventually. This was a portraiture exhibition that we attended and we were lucky to catch the last day.

Covent Garden is normally crowded but today was sunny and warm so you could scarcely move. The shops were full of tempting items but we were not in a buying mood and getting a little bit tired. We crossed Waterloo Bridge to the South Bank centre. The festival hall was closed for some reason or at least all the restaurants were so we decided we had had enough and went back to East Croydon via Clapham Junction and Waterloo Station.

Prices have gone up a lot and I will just have to get used to the fact that a 175 ml glass of white wine can cost north of £8.50. As a result I did not buy any (I was not near a branch of Wetherspoon’s) and decided to buy a bottle for the same amount of money for home consumption
