To the RUH hospital in the rain obediently wearing my mask

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Obedient means   ‘complying or willing to comply with an order or request; submissive to another’s authority.  Example “a docile and obedient dog” The only reason I wear a mask is because in the hospital you have to.  The staff are so thoroughly ‘trained’ that they will reprimand you on pain of losing their jobs.

So, its a  rainy and miserable but warm day.  I arrive early to enjoy the ever changing gallery of paintings and images in the corridors.  I will let them speak for themselves.

My eye injection went well with a delightful doctor called Emma. I had after effects – bloodshot eyes and some pain – but I know it will return to normal within a few hours. This will have been my 36th injection. To save ‘wear’ on the eye they inject in different quadrants each time.
