In my considered observation over a period of time the best guide to the liveliness of the place are the flyers that appear posted up on boarded-up shops or hairdressers or community minded restaurants. You can see how much community spirit lies in a particular area. Of course if you want to know house prices etc you have got Zoopla and other concantenators of such things. The question you should be asking, inter-alia, is would you actually enjoy yourself in a particular place, would you fit in?

Another source of information is Trip Adviser to which I have submitted hundreds of reviews over the years. In this day of Internet provision there is no excuse for being uninformed.
